Does the DSC quote include DGFT registration?
Ask for registration or association help to be listed in your quote. Certificate issuance and DGFT portal setup have separate steps.
Can the same DSC be used on ICEGATE?
ICEGATE has its own applicant and certificate requirements. Request a separate compatibility check for your customs workflow.
Can I use my existing DSC for this DGFT task?
Check certificate validity, applicant identity, entity details and the intended DGFT transaction. Do not buy a replacement before checking the current certificate and token.
What should I do about a DSC and DGFT name mismatch?
Confirm the exact error and compare the certificate identity with DGFT's relevant records. Do not assume that renewal will correct a record mismatch.
Can I reuse an older USB token for renewal?
CCA's transition guidance distinguishes existing certificates from renewal or new issuance. Confirm the exact token version, FIPS validation and issuer acceptance before reuse. An existing certificate does not automatically become invalid because its token uses FIPS 140-2.
