For orders up to ₹25,000. Buyer selects seller directly from product listings. No bidding. First-come-first-served based on price and rating.

For orders ₹25,000–₹5 lakh. Buyer compares listed prices. Lowest price (L1) wins. Your listing must be competitive.

Common Questions

GeM Portal FAQs

Yes. GeM accepts all business entity types — Proprietorship, Partnership, LLP, Pvt Ltd, OPC. You need a valid PAN, Aadhaar, GSTIN, and bank account. We handle the registration for all entity types.
GST registration is required for most categories. If your annual turnover is below the GST threshold and you operate in a GST-exempt category, you may be able to register without GSTIN — but this limits which products/services you can sell. We advise on this during onboarding.
Government buyers are required to pay within 10 working days of delivery confirmation. In practice, most payments arrive within 15–30 days. Delays beyond 45 days attract interest liability on the buyer.
Yes. GeM has a Services section covering IT, security, transport, housekeeping, printing, consulting, and many more. Service registration is slightly different from product listing — we handle both.
GeM charges an annual caution money deposit: ₹5,000 for sellers with turnover below ₹1 crore, and higher slabs above. This is a refundable deposit, not a fee. Our ₹3,999 registration fee is our professional charge — the caution money is separate and paid directly to GeM.
