Income Certificate, reviewed and signed by a practising CA.
For a visa, loan, education or another purpose where the receiving institution specifically accepts a Chartered Accountant's certificate. Finbees coordinates the requirement, supporting records and certification—with UDIN where required.
“Income certificate” can mean three different documents.
Ask the receiving institution what it will accept before you pay for or prepare any document.
CA-certified income certificate
Finbees can help with this. A practising Chartered Accountant reviews the relevant evidence and signs the certificate. UDIN is included where required.
Use it only when the recipient accepts a CA-certified document and confirm its required wording, period and format.
Tamil Nadu government income certificate
Finbees does not provide this service. It is a Revenue Administration document applied for through Tamil Nadu's e-Sevai/e-District route.
Acceptance comes first: a CA certificate cannot replace a government certificate, ITR or another prescribed document when the recipient specifically asks for one of those.
A human, evidence-led service
We begin with why the certificate is needed.
A recent client came to Finbees for a CA-signed income certificate. The useful first step was not filling a standard template—it was checking who requested the certificate, the period it had to cover and the evidence that could support each income figure. We follow the same approach for every request. Technology helps organise records, but a person reviews the requirement and the practising CA decides whether the evidence is sufficient to certify.
Document checklist
Documents commonly requested for CA review
This is a starting list, not a universal checklist. The required records depend on your income sources, the period covered and the recipient's format.
The recipient's written request, checklist or prescribed certificate format
PAN and identity details such as Aadhaar
The financial year or exact period the certificate must cover
ITR acknowledgement and income computation, if filed
Form 16, salary slips or employer records for salary income
Bank statements relevant to the income being certified
Business books, profit and loss statement or financial statements for business or professional income
Evidence for rent, pension, investments or any other income included
The signing CA has the final say: additional documents may be requested, figures may need reconciliation, or certification may be declined if the evidence is insufficient or inconsistent.
What the CA reviews
The certificate should be traceable to evidence.
Identity and period
The applicant's identity, the relevant financial year or date range, and the purpose or recipient's prescribed format.
Income sources and basis
The salary, business, professional, rental, pension, investment or other records used to arrive at the stated income.
Signature and UDIN
Where applicable, the practising CA signs the certificate and generates a Unique Document Identification Number under ICAI's UDIN system.
For the professional requirement, see ICAI's UDIN announcement and official UDIN FAQs. A UDIN enables verification of the CA-signed document; it does not guarantee acceptance by a bank, embassy, college or other recipient.
How Finbees helps
A four-step CA certification process
01 — Share the request
Send the recipient's email, checklist or required format, along with the purpose and deadline. We confirm whether a CA certificate is the document being requested.
02 — Receive your checklist
We ask for the records relevant to the income sources and period. Do not share passwords or OTPs.
03 — CA review
A practising Chartered Accountant reviews the evidence, asks questions where needed and decides whether the income can be certified.
04 — Certificate and UDIN
Once the review is complete, the CA signs the agreed certificate and generates UDIN where required. You receive the completed document for submission to the recipient.
It is a document in which a practising Chartered Accountant certifies income information after reviewing relevant supporting records. Its wording, period and contents depend on the recipient's requirement and the evidence available.
No. Tamil Nadu government income certificates are Revenue Administration documents applied for through e-Sevai or e-District. Finbees assists only with income certificates reviewed and signed by practising Chartered Accountants.
Common records include PAN, Aadhaar, the recipient's required format, ITR acknowledgement and computation, Form 16 or salary slips, bank statements, business books or financial statements, and evidence for rent, pension, investments or other income. The signing CA may request more.
Not in every case. The signing CA decides what evidence is sufficient based on the purpose, income source and period. If an ITR has been filed, the acknowledgement and computation may be relevant supporting records.
UDIN is the Unique Document Identification Number generated by the signing full-time practising Chartered Accountant under ICAI's system for applicable certificates. It enables the recipient to verify the CA-signed document.
Only when the receiving embassy, bank, college or other institution accepts that specific document. Confirm the required format, period, signatory and evidence first. Finbees cannot guarantee third-party acceptance.
There is no single universal validity period. The receiving institution decides how recent the certificate must be, so confirm its date requirement before the document is prepared.
